Courtroom Operations

The Courtroom shall be presided over by a Judge who will ensure that operations are timely, thorough, and just. The Judge will also have the authority to accept or overrule any objections in the process of hearing a case and will approve or deny evidence and witnesses that Attorneys request be admitted. The Judge will have final decision-making power in the Courtroom on all topics of contention or questions of legal nature.

All individuals present in a Courtroom shall follow all sections of Justice Department Policies that pertain to the Courtroom. The Courtroom is a professional environment. All rules and regulations of said environment must be adhered to at all times. The Courtroom is a secure area in which no weapons of any sort are permitted, with the exception of certified Bailiffs as necessary for maintaining the security of the Courtroom.

In the absence of an assigned bailiff, the presiding judge may appoint a temporary officer of the court for the duration of proceedings. This appointment may be given to any person deemed competent to fulfill the necessary responsibilities, including courtroom order, document handling, and enforcement of judicial commands.
