PreviousDirectivesNextBackground Check Standardization | 07/10/2024

Last updated 1 month ago

This directive outlines the rights of accused individuals regarding plea options, bail, and the right to a speedy trial. Arrest reports must be filed within 48 hours, and trials must begin within 30 days, or charges are dismissed with no option for retrial. Bail hearings must occur within 48 hours upon request, or the accused is released on their own recognizance. Violating bail conditions results in contempt charges and forfeiture of the bail amount.
